Moataz El Hout is the Chairman and CEO of Nestlé North East Africa Region as of January 2018.

Moataz joined Nestlé Egypt in 1995 as Brand Manager for Maggi. In 1997, he moved to Australia as Brand Manager in the ice cream business. Upon his return to Egypt in 1999, he took several positions with increasing responsibilities reaching Head of ice cream business in Egypt in 2002. Moataz led the ice cream in Egypt to become one of the fastest growing and most profitable ice cream business for Nestlé.

In 2005, he moved to Malaysia to Head the Nestlé ice cream business in Malaysia/Singapore region where he accelerated growth through a clear channel strategy. In 2008, he moved to the Headquarters in Switzerland, in Ice Cream Strategic Business Unit, responsible for the ice cream business in Asia, Australia and Africa.

In 2011, he moved to Nestlé Ghana as Managing Director and successfully established Nestlé as the fastest growing FMCG Company for four consecutive years.  In 2015, he became Vice President of Nestlé SA, Regional and Category Manager in Zone Europe, Middle East and North Africa.  Moataz was also responsible for the Dairy Category across Zone EMENA.

 Before joining Nestlé Moataz worked in a Regional food company with assignments in Egypt & Saudi Arabia.

Moataz Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from The American University in Cairo.
